Brainstorming/notes (originally done on paper with
pen, but I typed them out here so you could read them)
-
There
are 35 shops that dispense recreational marijuana in Boulder.
-
TheTerrapin Care Station was the first of these to open; it has two
locations, and the company that owns the dispensary, Genetic Locker, LLC,
is the largest grower and supplier of marijuana in Boulder, supplying a small
percent of the other dispensaries, as well as their own
-
Has
greeters, like in Wal-Mart, but dressed in business attire
-
You have to pick a number
-
Only a few people at a time are allowed
into back room for security
-
Basic, middle-class clientele
-
Some bikers, a college age guy with a
broken arm
-
Nice parking lot
-
SUVs, a few motorcycles, minivans, prius, other nice cars
-
Parking lot is full
-
ATM machine and couch in lobby
-
Desk, and glass display case bongs,
pipes
-
Room looks like an office for a regular
store
-
Back room looks like a combination of
bakery and pharmacy
-
Walls are rows of plastic bins with
lids, like in a pharmacy, but a bit bigger
-
Display cases with candy and baked
goods, like cupcakes and brownies, and counters that look like they belong in a
pharmacy.
-
Four guys working the counters like
pharmacists
-
They can tell you everything and more
about the pot how and where it is grown, what type it is, which is better for
anxiety or inflammation or just getting high
-
Guy seems to like talking about history
of growing and how to grow and process it the right way must use female plant
and the flowers.
-
EXPENSIVE though probably no more than
it is illegally elsewhere. I dont know.
-
You can buy just one joint it is as
long as a cigarette but twice as wide (at least)
-
The guy behind the counter put it into a
plastic bottle with a warning label on it and sealed it. You have to break the
seal to smoke the joint, but you cant do that in a public place. What are the
rules?

According to CleanSlateNow.org, one of the
companys employees, Chris Woods, donated $31,898 to The Campaign to Regulate
Marijuana Like Alcohol, the primary group supporting Amendment 64.

I cant find out who he is. Odds are good he
owns the company, but I cant find the evidence for that.
